apparently, A jazz bass isn't meant for jazz, yet it doesn't produce a jazz sound. to be precisely a proper bass for jazz is a upright bass.

What I meant jazz sound, is the sound from a Fender Jazz bass kinda sound, not a p-bass kinda sound. No jazz genre is included :D
But of coz, u may play anything with it, depending on your tone settings :D
