One of the most famous Start-Up guitar, which comes in good playability and good tone, the Ibanez GRG170dx!
No worries on off-tuning, as it comes with a vintage style bridge. No heavy Dive-Bombs :p
Ibanez GRG170DX Sparkling Lime
Specifications:
Construction: 25.5" Bolt-on with All Access Neck Joint (AANJ)
Body: Basswood
Neck: Maple
Neck Shape: GRG1 Neck
Fingerboard: Rosewood with Pearloid Shartook Inlays
Frets: 24 Medium frets
Bridge Pickup: PSND2
Middle Pickup: PSNDS
Neck Pickups: PSND1
Bridge: Fat 10 Bridge
Fingerboard Radius: 400mmR
Nut Width: 43mm
Finishing: Black Night, Candy Apple, Jewel Blue, Sparkling Lime
Sparkling like the Gold Top. How bout that? :p
Ibanez Fat 10 Bridge, stable to get rid of off-tuning. Of cause, heavy dive-bombs may still make the guitar run out of tune.
Good for starters who would wanna invest slightly more than just a Jumpstart series.
The Ibanez GIO neck, slightly thicker than the Ibanez RG series. Still meant to be shred!
Add marks: Pearloid Sharktooth inlays! You dont see much of this on Ibanez guitars, even RG doesnt come with Pearloid material inlays
Ibanez All-Access-Neck-Joint (AANJ) for easier access on upper frets.
Dont take yellow lightly, it's still very attractive! :p
Note: Guitar falls under affordable range. Below RM1000 :D

some points from GIO user:
ReplyDelete1. if u have extra funds but still below rm1k, go for GRG270 instead (like me hehe), pros: u'll get locking tremolo, cons: no sharktooth inlays
2. don't take GIO models too lightly, workmanship and built quality was tip-top, much better than cheap jackson models (hehehe) those indon/china/korean luthier was good compared to indian one
3. although stock pickups (PSND or STD) it's still cool enough to shred and stroke that heavy riff (if u have good big amp that is)
4. go to any guitar forums, reviews - GIO models will always have higher scores
5. it's still "ibanez", not "by ibanez"
haha.. thanks for the comments man
ReplyDeletebut for point 1, depends on user who wanted a fixed bridge or a double locking
and for sharkfin inlays, some does like dot :D
so it depends on wut user choses
so... bring in some GART la bro >:)
